Methods Totally 121 maintenance hemodialysis patients from November 2022 to February 2023 were randomly divided into an intervention group(n=61) and a control group(n=60). The control group received routine health education, while the intervention group was given health education using the LEARNS model. Results After the intervention,the total score of self-care ability, self-care responsibility and self-care skills in the intervention group were higher than those in the control group(t=-2.269,P=0.025;t=-2.121,P=0.036;t=-2.381,P=0.019),but the scores of all dimensions of short form 36 health survey questionnaire(SF-36) were significantly higher than the latter(all P＜0.001). Conclusion Compared with conventional intervention, the LEARNS model can better improve the self-care ability and quality of life of maintenance hemodialysis patients, and it is worth promoting and applying.]]>
